Nainoa Thompson

this is a man called Nainoa Thompson he was born on march the 11th in Honolulu and he is 66 years old. Nainoa Thompson was trained by master navigator Mau Piailug from the island of satawal. Nainoa Thompson is a native Hawaiian navigator. 

swimming

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday Te Waka Ako gets to go swimming in the school pool. The classes gets their togs and go down to the pool for swimming. The kids who doesn’t bring their tog the grabbed a book or they get boring things in  class. We went to the changing room to put on our tog and walk inside the swimming pool and sit on the concrete so we can wait for the others. We all walk to the pool and climb into the pool safely. The pool was very cold! We swim around the pools and we had so much fun in the pools. Once we were finished we jumped out and we change in our uniforms and walk back to the class. Bigfoot

On Wednesday the Waitemata class did Bigfoot. Bigfoot is where you rides bikes and they teach you how to be safe on your bike.  First we had to put our helmets on our heads. Then teacher put us in different lines. Then I rode my bike around the court. My bike was big. Then the instructors showed us how to ride the bike safely. I learned how to ride bike and look after my bike. I had so much fun on my bike.

Athletics day

On the 19th of November the Waikowhai primary schools had their Athletics day. We all sat down in our year groups. The first thing we did was 400 metre run. Then we moved to our next station. Our next station was tennis. We all grabbed our rackets and  ball and  then we threw our balls and tried to hit it up high. The next station was team building. In team building the teacher told us to be in a group of five or six. Then we got five colour pads so we can step on it and not try to touch on the ground. once we finish all the activities the whole Waikowhai schools went to the fields. Then went in our house colours for the house relays. I was in the house relays for Ruru and Ruru won the house relays. thank you for looking at my blog. blog you guys later.
